Horizontal FFS (Form Fill Seal) machines are intended for solid products, with a regular shape, and which can be arranged in a precise order; however, the versatility of these systems makes it possible to expand the field of application to more difficult foods, producing final packages with a wide variety of shapes. For example, the version that allows trays or tubs to be enclosed within flexible packages can hold any type of product. In these systems, the film that unwinds automatically from the reel is started towards the forming collar, which, thanks to its special design, encourages the formation of a tubular of plastic material around the filling line, along which the product flows.
