The process of chemical recycling of plastics, allows plastics to be converted, decomposed or purified into their starting constituents (monomers) or oil, which can then be purified and reused as high-quality raw materials. Although the environmental impact is unknown and yields are never 100 percent, theoretically chemical recycling processes can be repeated countless times.
